My name is Ana Christensen, and I am the artist behind AnaWerks. I make cut paper artwork, cut by hand, one at a time. I start with an image of the natural world, a portrait, or a design I create. Then, I start to translate the image into blocks of paper that can be layered, trimmed, and assembled into a dimensional design.
It’s a lot of fun.
At the AnaWerks report, I get to share more of my process, how things work out and what I’m doing to stay inspired to keep making. But most of all, I’d like to start a conversation with other crafters and artists – it can get lonely in the studio, after all. Better to stick together.
